How to reach me

The best way to contact me is via email. If you need to make any changes, have questions, or just want to discuss details, don’t hesitate to reach out! If you lose my contact info, you can always email the office at bill@goldentouchdj.com and I’ll make sure to get in touch.

Emails and Updates

Throughout the planning process, I’ll send you several emails. Some will be reminders to complete your planning forms, others will offer helpful tips or additional services you might not have thought of yet. I like to stay in touch! After the event, I’ll send a follow-up email—let me know how things went, and I’d love to hear your feedback. Reviews are always appreciated!

Availability and Meetings

I’m happy to meet over the phone or via video chat for most of our discussions. However, if you’d like to meet in person, just let me know! I typically schedule in-person meetings during weekday evenings since weekends are dedicated to events.

Planning Forms

You’ll receive a link to login to the client login portal complete your planning forms, which include your event timeline, music requests, and other important details. The more thorough you are with these forms, the better I can customize the experience to match your vision.

Meals

You’re not required to provide a meal for me, but if you do, please let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly. If meals are provided, I’ll take a quick break to eat with the other vendors.

Arrival and Set-Up

On your event day, I typically arrive about 3 to 4 hours before the start time to set up and ensure everything runs smoothly. I’ll bring all of my own equipment, but I do need at least 2 15-amp power outlets for the setup.

Gratuities

Tipping is completely up to you. If you’re happy with the service and I’ve helped create an unforgettable experience, I generally see tips of 15-20%. But ultimately, it’s your decision!

The Music

The music is the most important part for me, as it’s my passion! Take your time filling out your planning forms and music requests—this helps me ensure the perfect soundtrack for your event. Whether you want a mix of classic hits or modern chart-toppers, I’ll make sure the music matches your vision and keeps your guests dancing all night long.

I’m honored to be part of your special day and can’t wait to work with you to make it one you’ll never forget. Let’s get started and create the perfect celebration!

Testimonial

Bill is the best! He was so easy to work with. He did my nephews wedding a few years ago and we had such a good time we knew he was the best DJ for our daughters wedding. He played through the social hour, dinner and the entire night. He is the reason the reception was so much fun. He had so many great ideas and he really got everyone on their feet and dancing all night. There was never a dull moment in the evening. Everyone is still talking about it! We highly recommend him.

Jean Dieveney

Golden Touch DJ was the best DJ any of my guests have experienced! All night he kept the party going, he played such a variety of music to keep everyone entertained. Out of all the people I hired Bill was the only one who just took the reigns and set up on his own. He came extra early to make sure the set up would be perfect for my special day. His slideshow was amazing and …the set up was PERFECT! In just 2 days I have already recommended him to 8 people. We are so so soo impressed by golden touch dj. He will do EVERYTHING he can to make your special day perfect! Thanks Again bill you were truly amazing we were so impressed!

Tips for Planning the Perfect Party

  • Guests Follow the Couple’s Lead: For weddings, remember that your guests are likely to follow your energy. If you’re on the dance floor enjoying the music, your guests will follow suit and join in!

  • Keep the Timeline Flexible: While we need the order of events, don’t feel the need to micromanage every minute. You’ve hired a professional DJ for a reason—let us handle the flow of the event and keep things moving smoothly.

  • Respect Your Older Guests’ Comfort: If you have older guests, try not to seat them right in front of the speakers. It’s a simple adjustment that helps ensure everyone is comfortable.

  • Visibility is Key for the DJ: Avoid placing the DJ in a remote corner or obscure spot. We need to be visible and close to the dance floor so we can feel the energy of the crowd and keep things flowing.

  • Lighting Matters: If you have lighting for the dance floor, keep it dim. It creates a better atmosphere for dancing. Use dimmers for overhead lights or chandeliers to set the mood just right.

  • Keep Key Areas Close to the Dance Floor: If you have a bar or photo booth, try to keep it near the DJ and the dance floor. You want to keep guests engaged and close to the action, especially during dancing.

  • Consider Your Guests’ Preferences: While your music choices are important, don’t forget to consider the tastes of your guests. Mix in a variety of songs to keep everyone happy.

  • Leave Them Wanting More: The key to a great party is leaving your guests wanting more! It’s not necessary to entertain them until 2am; focus on making the night unforgettable and full of energy.

  • Keep It Simple with Song Selections: You don’t need to create an entire playlist. Pick about 20 songs you love and a few that aren’t your favorites, then let us fill in the rest and keep things lively.

  • Keep Toasts Short and Sweet: We recommend limiting toasts to 5 minutes each, with a maximum of 4 people giving speeches. This keeps the momentum going without losing the energy of the event.

  • First Dance and Parent Dances: For the best flow, try doing your first dance right after your introduction. We also suggest shortening parent dances to keep the energy high.

  • Don’t Skip on DJ Lighting: If you’re tight on your budget, consider cutting back on other areas before sacrificing your DJ’s lighting. The right lighting can truly elevate your event and make all the difference.
